Parking

Due to the high volume of traffic, we will be providing free bus transportation to the Festival area. We encourage you to take advantage of this service.

Two shuttle buses will drop off & pick up at the Train Station/Gallagher Terminal on Thorndike St., U-Mass Lowell South Campus & U-Mass Lowell North Campus. Look for the buses with "Water Festival" on it. FREE parking is available at both U-Mass Lowell campus parking lots. U-Mass_Lowell_Campus_Directions_&_Map

  • MA-COM parking lot located near Lowell Water Works ($8 per car) - Westbound on Pawtucket BLVD
  • Demoulas parking lot located behind JJ Boomer ($10 per car)- Westbound on Pawtucket BLVD
  • Regatta Fields parking lot located next to Dunkin Donuts ($10 per car)- Eastbound on Pawtucket BLVD
  • UMass Lowell North Campus (parking is free ~ take Shuttle Bus to Festival) - Eastbound on Pawtucket BLVD, pass McDonald's
  • UMass Lowell South Campus (parking is free ~ take Shuttle Bus to Festival) - Across the River on Wilder Street

Driving Directions

Coming from Boston/South of Lowell

  • Take Rt. 128/95 to Rt. 3 North (Lowell/Nashua NH)
  • From Rt. 3, take exit 32 (Chelmsford/Drum Hill)
  • Take 1st right off exit onto Westford Street
  • Continue on to Wood Street & go pass Middlesex Plaza (on your right)
  • Continue over Rourke Bridge, take a Right onto Pawtucket Boulevard
  • Pass boat house & parking lots (on right),
  • Turn right into the next parking lot (approx. ½ mile away)
  • Sampas Pavilion (main stage is next to this parking lot).
    • Public Transportation

      Commuter rail service is available from Boston's North Station to Lowell's Gallagher Terminal.

      Lowell Regional Transit Authority shuttles run between Gallagher Terminal and downtown Lowell every half hour: Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
